Trading Technologies Licenses Patents for
MD Trader® Technology to Knight Capital Group’s DTI; TT to Provide Futures Connectivity via TT FIX Adapter

CHICAGO, January 16, 2007 — Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT) announced that Direct Trading Institutional, L.P. (DTI), a subsidiary of Knight Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NITE), has licensed TT’s MD Trader patents. The license allows DTI to use TT’s MD Trader technology in Knight Direct, its multi-asset class direct market access platform. In addition, futures orders from Knight Direct will be routed through TT's exchange gateways via TT FIX Adapter.

"TT is excited to license its MD Trader patents to a Knight Capital Group company. As more and more companies license the patents, especially multi-billion dollar companies such as Knight Capital Group, the use of the technology proliferates and the strength of the patents continues to be reinforced," said Harris Brumfield, CEO of TT. "Further, connectivity to TT’s futures gateways via TT FIX Adapter will also be a nice addition to Knight Direct."
