Access Market Data in Microsoft Excel®

Microsoft introduced a new worksheet function in Microsoft Excel 2002 called Real-Time Data (RTD). This function allows users to call a Component Object Model (COM) Automation server for retrieving real-time data into Excel. RTD provides a more stable and efficient means of importing real-time data than DDE/OLE links.

To take advantage of the speed and reliability improvements offered by RTD, the X_TRADER API includes an RTD server for accessing live data within spreadsheet applications. The X_TRADER API RTD Server provides an efficient means of accessing real-time data in Excel, including market depth, orders, fills, instruments and P&L.
