Where to Install Algo SE for Optimal Performance

To achieve optimal performance when running algorithms that comprise contracts from a single market, you should locate the TT Algo Strategy Engine and the TT Exchange Gateway in close proximity to the exchange matching engine. Some exchanges offer remote telecommunications hubs that allow their clients to access the exchange without having to install long-haul circuits to the exchange. Although remote hubs can provide a more economical way of accessing a distant exchange, from a latency perspective this approach is less desirable than installing the server in close proximity to the exchange.

Where to Install an Algo SE Server that Spreads Across Geographically-Separated Exchanges

When running algorithms that consist of contracts from multiple geographically separated markets, firms must determine the optimal location of the TT Algo Strategy Engine based on the needs of the algorithms running on it.

Customers are encouraged to install a primary and a backup Algo SE Server in their networks, preferably in separate geographic locations, to provide software as well as hardware redundancy for Algo SE. Customers should consult their TAMs to determine the site and server redundancy design that best suits their business needs.
