TT Gateway Installation

Installing the Gateway

Each TT Gateway has its own installation package. Because each package can generate different dialog boxes and windows during installation, this manual does not include installation procedures specific to a particular TT Gateway. For these procedures, refer to the SAM specific to the TT Gateway you install.

After installing and configuring the TT Gateway, TT recommends that you test your configuration. Once you complete all setup procedures, start TTChron.

Warning

Unless installing in a MPF environment, do not install more than one TT Gateway on the same machine.Running multiple TT Gateways on a machine can cause unexpected program failure, delays in messaging, and other conflicts.

TT Gateways support two types of installation procedures:

  • GUI Interface Installation: Provides dialog boxes that guide the user through the installation process. Recommended when installing the TT Gateway on a small number of servers.
  • Command Line Installation: Provides command line entries to automate the installation process. Recommended when performing multiple unattended installations on a large number of servers.
Note

You can combine both types of installations.

Depending on the implementation, the command line installation can suppress some or all of the dialog boxes that appear during the GUI install. You can use the command line to automate similar install choices, then run the GUI install to customize unique options.

Warning

Regardless of the installation method, when adding a new TT Gateway flavor to your trading environment, you must restart TT User Setup before the new flavor will appear.
