Getting Started

Prerequisites

The TT User Setup web client requires the following:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft .NET 4.0

To access the TT User Setup Web client from your network, you must be able to access http://*.tradingtechnologies.com and https://*.tradingtechnologies.com sites. Https sites use port 443 by default and http sites use port 80.

Administrator rights on the current device are not required to run the web client. However, the first time you access the web client from your current device, the web client must install a certificate to the Certificate Store’s Trusted Publishers folder. Administrator rights are required to install the certificate.

Additionally, you must enable XAML browser applications in Internet Explorer.

Starting the Web Client

To start the web client, use Internet Explorer to open the URL provided by Trading Technologies (other browsers are not supported). The first time you access the web client from any device, you must install a certificate to the Certificate Store’s Trusted Publishers folder.

To start the web client:

  1. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to the URL provided by Trading Technologies. For example: http://mbclient.tradingtechnologies.com/
  2. If this is the first time you are accessing the web client from your current device, the web client must install a certificate to the Certificate Store’s Trusted Publishers folder. Administrator rights on your current device are required to install the certificate.
    • When promoted that the webpage is launching the certificate installer, click OK.

      Note: Your security settings in Internet Explorer may block the certificate download. In this case, click the security message and click Download File to download the certificate.

    • After downloading the certificate, click Run to complete the installation.
  3. The web client opens.

Logging In

Log into the web client using your buy-side administrator username and password. To log in successfully, the web client must be able to connect to the TT User Setup server.

To log into TT User Setup

  1. After opening the web client, the login window appears.

  2. If the login is successful, the web client opens and displays the Home tab.

Connectivity Errors

The web client requires connectivity to a running TT User Setup server. If the web client cannot establish or loses connectivity to the TT User Setup server, it displays an error. When connectivity is reestablished, the web client reloads.

Logging Out

To log out, click the Log Out button on the Home tab.
