Tick Table Setup

The Product Table Setup window includes the Tick Table setup and display options.

The Tick Table and Product Table Setup reflect the parameters set by the exchange, which Guardian uses to calculate a product’s tick size (refer to Tick Size Calculation). The Tick Table contains the upper price range (Price) for which a multiplier in ticks (Ticks) is used with the Product Table’s base tick value to determine the tick size.

You can view multiple editable Tick Tables at any time. You can create new tables as necessary. Guardian requires a TT Administrator account login ID before you can access the Admin menu. However, TTADMXXX<anything> and TTRISKXXX<anything> are the only risk administrators who always have access to all product tables. All other risk administrators can access only those product tables that match the market to which they are logged in.

 

To create a Tick Table:

  1. After completing a TT , from the Admin menu, click Product Table Setup.

    The Product Table Setup window displays.

  2. Click Add New Table.
  3. In the Tick Tables section, type a name for the new Tick Table.
  4. In the Price and Ticks fields, type the upper price boundaries and the corresponding multiplier in ticks.
  5. To save your changes, click Publish.
  6. Close the window.

To edit a Tick Table:

  1. After completing a TT , from the Admin menu, click Product Table Setup.
  2. In the Tick Tables section, click to select the tick table you want to edit.
  3. Edit the table as necessary.
  4. To save your changes, click Publish.
  5. Close the window.

To delete a Tick Table:

  1. After completing a TT , from the Admin menu, click Product Table Setup.
  2. In the Tick Tables section, click to select the tick table you want to edit.
  3. Click Delete Table.
  4. To save your changes, click Publish.
  5. Close the window.
