System Changes Made When Installing TT Update
During installation, TT Update makes the following changes to your system:
TT Update installs the following files in the <root drive>:tt directory where <root drive> equals the location where you first installed TT software.
tt_install_manager.exe (shortcuts on desktop and in start menu)
tt_update_service.exe (installed as a service)
Note: TT Update also creates the logfiles and datfiles folders however files are not written to these locations until the client application starts.
TT Update creates the following registry entries.
FileLocation set equal to the configuration file directory (e.g., c:ttconfig)
TTUPDATESTATE set to “enabled”
ArpCacheLife set to "4294967295"
ArpCacheMinReferencedLife set to "4294967295"
TT Update creates a registry folder and entry to record the location of each TT-related executable file.
Supported TT applications read the TTUPDATESTATE key to determine whether the system supports automatic application updates. If the key exists when a user logs into a supported TT application, such as X_TRADER, the application queries TT User Setup to determine whether it needs to update. If the key does not exist, the application does not check for updates when a user logs in.
