Viewing Working Orders and Fills

Use the Orders and Fills Window to monitor your traders’ working orders and fills. You can access the Orders and Fills Window from the X_RISK Control Panel by selecting (the Orders and Fills Window icon).

The Orders and Fills Window in X_RISK is comprised of four distinct components: the Order Toolbar, the Orders Pane, the Fills Pane, and the Summary Pane. Using the Orders and Fills Window, you can cancel orders for specific traders, gateways, and contracts.

Tip: The Order Modification pane is not available when using the Orders and Fills Window in X_RISK.

Order Toolbar

The Order Toolbar, located at the top of the Orders and Fills Window, allows you to take a single action on one or more orders. For example, administrators may cancel orders, display original order details, determine the status of an order, pause an algo, etc.

Tip: By default, the Order Toolbar does not display when the Orders and Fills Window is initially opened. To display the toolbar, right-click the Orders Pane and select Show Section | Order Toolbar.

The following table describes the functionality provided by the Order Toolbar buttons.

Stop all further actions on one or more selected algos in the Running state and continues to display the paused algo order rows in the Orders Pane; changes the TTStatus field to Paused with a yellow background

  • If Leave Orders on Pause is enabled in the order block definition, working child orders are left in the market.
  • If Leave Orders on Pause is disabled, working child orders are canceled.

By default, the Pause button does not display when the Order Toolbar is shown. Configure toolbar buttons from the Settings | Properties… | Orders tab.

Tip: Most of the buttons can be applied to more than one order at a time. When multiple orders are selected, and an action is taken that only applies to some of the selected orders, only the pertinent orders will be affected. For example, clicking the Pause button on multiple orders will only pause algo orders.

Orders Pane

The Orders Pane is the main pane of the window and displays order and fill information for all orders displayed on the current tab. Use this pane to view working orders, fills, manual fills, and Start of Day records.

Orders in an Unknown State

If an order enters an unknown state, the entire order line is inverted and a ? (Question mark) is appended to the TT Status column. These orders cannot be modified.

Fills Pane

Clicking an order's selection check box in the Orders Pane displays a subset of specific fill information, including all individual fills and their corresponding price in the Fills Pane.

Fills Pane Right-Click Context Menu

The Fills Pane right-click context menu provides additional options.

For example, administrators can…

  • Add/Delete Manual Fills
  • Confirm orders and fills
  • View fills by Product, Price, Buy/Sell

Product aggregates fills at the product level using the average price.

Price aggregates fills at each price level and displays buys and sells on a single row.

Buy/Sell aggregates fills by price level but separates buys and sells and groups them together.

  • Copy/Paste fills to/from another program (e.g., Excel)
  • Export selected rows

Summary Pane

The Summary Pane summarizes the collection of fills displayed in the Fills Pane and working orders from the Orders Pane for the selected order(s).

Summary Pane Right-Click Context Menu

The Summary Pane right-click context menu provides additional options.

For example, administrators can…

  • Hide the pane
  • Select how data is sorted in the pane using the Grouping… options. By default, activity is grouped by Exchange, then Product, and then Contract.
  • Determine how P/L is displayed and calculated

Tabs

One default tab is provided when the Orders and Fills Window is initially opened. You can insert additional tabs to create numerous views by status, product, exchange, account number, etc., all within a single window. The data displayed and filtered on each tab can be configured to organize your activity. Tabs can be renamed and color-coded.

The Clone feature available in the tab's right-click context menu allows you to copy the tab's formatting, filtering, sorting, column setup, and visible panes to a new tab. An exact clone is created, and like other tabs, the new tab can be renamed and color-coded, modified, moved, cloned, deleted, and cloned again.
