Chicago Skyline at Dusk
Today marks the start of the annual FIA Expo conference, with opening festivities kicking off this evening at City Winery. Tomorrow morning, we’ll be among the many companies exhibiting our products when the trade show hall opens at 10am.

Expo is always eagerly anticipated by all of us at Trading Technologies. It provides one of the best opportunities to connect with customers, prospects, partners and friends from the futures and options community while also showcasing the newest capabilities of our software.

This year, the excitement for us leading up to Expo is even stronger than usual. If you’ve been following our progress, I’m sure you already know that the new TT, which we previewed at last year’s Expo, became commercially available in March. Since that time, the platform has continued to rapidly evolve, bringing TT closer to (or in some cases beyond) feature parity with our legacy X_TRADER® software. We’ve added many new features including support for order-cross prevention, third-party algos, block trading, CME’s MDP 3.0 price feed and more. At the same time, we’ve continued to dramatically reduce latency compared to X_TRADER, and future enhancements will continue to drive down these numbers; stay tuned for updates.

“Our customers want fast, easy access to high-powered professional trading tools. With the new TT platform, we can give them the ability to open an account with us and start trading the same day using the most current version of TT’s award-winning technology. This will give an edge to both us and our customers, and we’re excited to be ahead of our competitors in rolling out TT.”

Dan Culp, president of AMP Global Clearing

We’re working with our distribution partners to make TT available to their users. The list of FCMs signed on to distribute the new TT platform includes Advantage Futures, AMP Global Clearing, Citi, Dorman Trading, MBF Clearing, Rosenthal Collins (RCG), UOB Bullion & Futures and Wedbush Futures, and the feedback is very positive. For example, as Dan Culp, president of AMP Global Clearing, told us, “Our customers want fast, easy access to high-powered professional trading tools. With the new TT platform, we can give them the ability to open an account with us and start trading the same day using the most current version of TT’s award-winning technology. This will give an edge to both us and our customers, and we’re excited to be ahead of our competitors in rolling out TT.”

It’s very exciting to me that while our customers are still in the early stages of ramping up distribution to end users, the new TT platform has already been recognized as best-in-class. It was named Trading System of the Year, Buy-Side in the FOW Awards for Asia, and it has been shortlisted in both the Trading System of the Year, Buy-Side and Trading System of the Year, Sell-Side categories at the FOW International Awards, which will be announced next month in London.

If you’ll be at Expo, make a point to come by our booth (#820) to see TT in person. We encourage you to stop by our booth to see just how easy it is to create your own TT account and be trading from your desktop or your mobile phone in minutes. We’ll have TT workstations there for one-on-one demos, and we’ll be spotlighting various aspects of TT at a series of in-booth presentations. Session topics include ADL, Autospreader, TT Mobile and charting, and we’ll feature several partners including Quantitative Brokers, Nasdaq Futures (NFX) and GreenKey. Check out our Expo schedule for session times and descriptions.

I’ll be at the booth myself when Taste of Expo kicks off Wednesday at 4pm passing out beers and answering your questions. If you’re at the show, please stop by to let me know what you think of the new TT. We’re ready for a great week, and we hope to see you there.
