Trading Technologies Named “Trading System of the Year, Buy-Side” at FOW Asia Awards

News Release

MultiBroker solution among offerings that set TT apart in Asia/Pacific region

CHICAGO, IL, September 25, 2014 – Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a provider of high-performance professional trading software, was awarded “Trading System of the Year, Buy-Side” by FOW magazine at the FOW Asia Awards today in Singapore. This marks the third consecutive FOW Asia Award for TT, after winning “Best New Product, Connectivity” last year and “Professional Traders ISV of the Year” in 2012.

TT’s MultiBroker solution, which launched in July 2013, has seen considerable traction in Asia over the past year, especially in Singapore’s commodity and energy trading space. MultiBroker provides direct market access (DMA) via multiple brokers from a single connection to TT’s TTNET™ global hosting solution, helping buy-side firms diversify their market access and execution risk. Additionally, the company introduced new order passing functionality and will soon connect to Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx).

“Trading Technologies continues to impress us, particularly with the growth of its MultiBroker solution,” said William Mitting, editor and publisher of FOW. “TT’s recognition as this year’s best buy-side trading system is well deserved and they beat out a game field of competitors.”

“We are very grateful to FOW for this tremendous honor,” said Robbie McDonnell, EVP global sales for TT. “We’ve made great strides in Singapore and in the region as a whole, and I think this recognition speaks to our success in empowering the Asian trading community. That said, we remain focused on listening and responding to the unique needs of our customers, and we will continue to enhance our offering to them.”

Trading Technologies recently unveiled its next-generation platform, simply called TT, which will be delivered via the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. Early-stage user onboarding will begin in Q4, and access will continue to expand into 2015.

EEX Selects Trading Technologies’ Next-Generation Trading Platform as Direct Screen Offer

LEIPZIG and CHICAGO, September 4, 2014 – The European Energy Exchange AG (EEX), Europe’s leading energy exchange, and Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a provider of high-performance professional trading platforms, today announced that EEX has contracted with TT to supply the exchange’s trading participants with direct access to the exchange via the direct screen. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) TT platform provides secure, high-performance, go-anywhere market access and trade execution.

The TT solution can be used to access the EEX markets for power derivatives, emissions spot and derivatives as well as coal and guarantees of origin. This includes Europe’s most liquid power contract, Phelix Power Future. It enables participants to enter exchange trades or to register trade transactions for clearing (Trade Registration). The new frontend will replace the current EEX Direct Screen and will be rolled-out to the market in the fourth quarter of 2014.

“With our new ‘EEX TT Screen’ we offer an additional option for members to access our markets. We chose TT as a service provider because their technology provides a robust and sophisticated trading solution with maximum functionality. In addition, it’s simple for the customers, they do not need any installation, just internet access and a current browser,” said Steffen Köhler, COO of EEX.

“This commitment from EEX is a powerful statement in support of our next-generation technology. It validates our vision for the new TT platform, which is aimed at dramatically simplifying how professional traders access and participate in the markets by delivering a fully integrated suite of robust trading applications through a high-performance, device-agnostic ecosystem,” said Rick Lane, CEO of Trading Technologies.

TT is shifting the paradigm by giving users the freedom to enter and manage orders, view and chart market data, and access automated tools like Autospreader® and ADL® (Algo Design Lab) from virtually any internet-connected computer or mobile device. Furthermore, the platform’s modular architecture allows TT to continuously iterate and deliver new functionality to the user’s workspace without a software upgrade.
