We are looking for a driven and inventive Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineering team architects, implements and supports global hybrid compute and storage services for our development and production environments. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of infrastructure that supports our high performance SaaS trading platform and automating the delivery of existing and new infrastructure services. As a Senior Windows Systems Engineer, you will lead efforts to design, implement, and manage security measures to protect our Windows-based systems and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization’s data and systems.
An ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for technology, automation and innovation; who brings a strong technical knowledge and experience of the entire infrastructure stack to bear in support of both industry standard and in-house built applications.

 

What Will You Be Involved With?
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Active Directory environments, including forests, domains, trusts, DNS, DHCP, RDS, DFS and AD certificate services and Group Policy.
  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions for Windows server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and server hardening.
  • Implement and manage Entra AD for single sign-on (SSO) authentication.
  • Monitor and optimize Active Directory performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular system maintenance.
  • Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for Active Directory services.
  • Participate in support of large scale Linux, Windows, SAN storage, and virtualization environments (e.g. VMware, Nutanix)
  • Architect, Manage and maintain a global cloud compute footprint (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • Perform provisioning and automation enhancements via scripting (e.g. Powershell, Bash and Python) and centralized management tools (e.g. Chef)
  • Facilitate improvements to platform stability and site reliability by collaborating with and working closely alongside internal teams and stakeholders across the organization
  • Act as a hands-on technical advisor and resource to team members
  • Troubleshoot enterprise-level hardware, including high performance overclock systems.
  • Assist deployment and software development teams in ensuring the seamless transition of software from development to production.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation for purposes of routine scheduled maintenance and deployments.

 

What Will You Bring to the Table?
  • Progressive Systems Engineering experience (generally 3 years) strongly preferred
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
  • Strong operating systems management skills, with a proven background in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration, Windows administration experience a plus
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments on centralized storage, e.g. AWS services and infrastructure, Nutanix, VMware vSphere
  • Proficiency with scripting languages, with an emphasis on Python and Bash; DevOps and Deployment a plus; PowerShell a plus but not required
  • Comfortability with performance and hardware troubleshooting, high-performance compute experience a plus
  • Strong background in networking concepts and routing protocols
  • Team player who is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and possesses excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members
