Infrastructure Engineer Team Lead

Location: US-IL-Chicago

We are looking for a driven and inventive Infrastructure Engineer Team Lead for our Systems Engineering team. The Systems Engineering team implements and supports robust, scalable infrastructure that runs our development and production environments. As a member of the team, you will face the challenges of identifying next generation solutions that take our infrastructure to the next level, as well as identifying ways of making day-to-day operational tasks more efficient through automation. An ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for all things technology – someone who brings strong technical knowledge across the infrastructure stack including server hardware, SAN, networking, virtualization, operating systems and application.


  • Implement and configure high-performance server hardware
  • Design, implement and support AWS infrastructure and services
  • Support large scale Windows and Linux environments
  • Write automation to quickly deploy infrastructure and services
  • Work closely with software development teams to ensure seamless transition of software from development to production
  • Respond to infrastructure-related production issues


  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with high-performance computer hardware, e.g. Processors, Memory, Storage, Network Adapters, etc.
  • Knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows (Server 2003, 2008, 2012)
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, e.g. DHCP, Multicast, TCP and UDP
  • Experience with virtualization, e.g. VMware vSphere, KVM
  • Knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure, e.g. EC2, S3, Glacier, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch
  • Experience with troubleshooting performance including storage I/O, network, memory, and CPU utilization
  • Comfortable with scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, Python, BASH, Ruby, etc.
