- Exporting Block Output Values
Exporting Block Output Values
ADL blocks can export Instrument, Numeric and Boolean values to the Algo Dashboard window and Parent Order Book window. These values appear in the A, B, C, D, and E columns as well as the Variables Pane of the Parent Order Book. The variables will update in realtime
Note: This option is not available if the block resides within a virtualized block, or, if the block itself is a virtualized block.
How to Export Block Output Values
Right-click on the output port of a block you want to export, and select “Export Port Value” option from the context menu.
Once the export value has been selected the export value is framed with an orange perimeter.
Click the "Export Values" tab located in the ADL Designer Canvas. Any output values that have been declared to be exported are listed here and will appear in the Variables Pane of the Parent Order Book.
Use the drop-down menus located in the “Display In Algo Dashboard Columns” section to assign a value for each of the columns.
Launch the Algo Dashboard window or Parent Order Book window. Add the A, B, C, D, and E columns by right-clicking the column header and selecting "AddRemove Columns" from the context menu. The exported values appear and update in real-time.
Note: These columns can be renamed by right-clicking the column header and selecting "Rename" from the context menu.
