As CEO of Trading Technologies, Rick inspires and guides TT’s vision, collaborating across all levels to drive technology innovation. Rick first joined the company when TT acquired the firm he cofounded, TickIt Trading Systems. At TickIt, Rick was the architect of ADL®, the trading industry’s first visual programming platform, which is now fully integrated with both the TT and X_TRADER® platforms.Rick returned to TT in 2012 to oversee the reconstruction of TT’s entire architecture as CTO. Drew Shields has spent his career understanding complex processes and technologies, translating that understanding into technical solutions that exceed customers’ expectations while using his knowledge to train and inspire others.Drew maintains TT’s product strategy and technical vision, overseeing engineering, product management and project management. He guides how technology will continue to define the business and ensures that all products deliver an industry-leading, best-in-class experience for TT’s customers.Before joining TT, Drew was VP of technology operations at OptionsHouse and CTO at Infinium Capital Management. He previously worked at Symphono and Bank of America.Drew graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. Mike Mayhew has a breadth of knowledge in design, operations and support spanning multiple industries that allows him to deliver operationally efficient solutions.Mike leads security, compliance, global support and operations and oversees the firm’s IT organization.Before assuming the role of chief information officer, Mike served as director and then VP of global TTNET™ operations. Prior to joining TT, Mike held various design and development positions at ITT Aerospace, Tellabs and Turin Networks.Mike received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Valparaiso University and his MBA in strategic management and finance from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
President & CFO
Michael Kraines has dedicated his entire career to helping financial technology companies flourish and grow.As President, Michael oversees TT's global sales and customer success organizations and directs business development and commercial partnerships. In addition, he has day-to-day operational responsibilities for TT's functional departments. Michael also serves as Chief Financial Officer, focusing on the company’s strategy, financial and operational growth model, and financial strength.As a veteran investment banker with over 25 years of Wall Street experience, Michael has completed over $35 billion of transactions. Before joining TT, Michael served as managing director at both Sandler O’Neill + Partners and Wasserstein Perella & Co., and as a venture capital attorney with Kirkland & Ellis.Michael received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Brian Mehta built his career with a deep understanding and passion for the role technology plays in our daily lives.Brian leads the marketing team to promote the Trading Technologies brand, manage product launches and advance the conversation on how we drive progress in our industry, and in the global trading community.Prior to TT, Brian was Head of North America Marketing for Motorola Mobility, where he spearheaded key marketing initiatives—from the NFL partnership to product launches. He previously worked at U.S. Cellular, Alcatel and AT&T.Brian has his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.@brianmehta
VP, Customer Success
Kara Grygotis is a customer-centric leader who understands every phase of the client lifecycle in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry.
Kara directs TT’s global Customer Success organization, ensuring seamless product on-boarding and day-to-day client services. She focuses on account management, working closely with TT’s customers and business partners worldwide.
Prior to TT, Kara spent the bulk of her career at Backstop Solutions Group, where she most recently was VP of Relationship Management. She built a team and program that helped clients grow and scale, resulting in sustained high client retention and satisfaction. She also held roles at Backstop in professional services, implementation and client services. Previously, she worked for Avery Partners in New York.
Kara received her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont.
EVP, General Counsel
Mike Ryan has critical expertise in intellectual property, software agreements and contracts while understanding the needs of the business.Mike is responsible for all legal matters affecting the corporation, including licensing, service and hosting agreements, consulting agreements, employment, property leasing and vendor contracts. In addition to his legal responsibilities, Mike governs TT’s Administration and Facilities departments.Before joining TT, Mike was an attorney at Oppenheimer, Wolff and Donnelly, where he was a member of the insurance and general litigation departments.Mike is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and DePaul University College of Law.
Roger Mills has a passion for detail that has driven him throughout his entire career in finance.Roger is responsible for the global financial operations of Trading Technologies, including financial reporting, planning, taxation, treasury and procurement. Before assuming his current role, Roger served as the company’s controller.A Certified Public Accountant, Roger has worked in financial positions with privately and publicly held companies including HealthStar and Oxford Health Plans.Roger, who is a native of South Africa, received his MBA and undergraduate degree in International Business from the University of South Alabama in Mobile.@Roger__Mills
EVP, Intellectual Property
Steve Borsand is fascinated with inventions and has dedicated his career to protecting the rights of innovators.Steve oversees the management of TT’s intellectual property assets (IP) and leads the company’s patent licensing and litigation efforts.Prior to joining TT, Steve served as Director of IP at 3Com Corporation (previously U.S. Robotics) where he managed all patent litigation and licensing. Previously, Steve was an attorney with Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione.Steve graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in computer engineering. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law.
