Tim Geannopulos


Tim’s passion for the convergence of capital markets and technology has driven him throughout his career.

Previously contributing 15 years with the company, Tim was instrumental in the advancement, proliferation and international adoption of Trading Technologies’ trading software, ultimately serving as executive vice president, global head of sales. Following that, he was co-founder and president of Neurensic, a company TT later acquired.

Tim returned in 2021 as Chairman of the Board and CEO to lead the company and oversee TT's next chapter of growth and expansion.

Tim holds a degree in economics and political science from Principia College and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.

Farley Owens


Highly experienced in both trading and technology, Farley possesses a deep understanding of capital markets and the needs of customers.

As President, Farley Owens oversees all day-to-day operations of the company, specifically driving the execution of the company’s objectives to fuel growth.

He previously served as Head of Product Marketing and EVP Product Management and Marketing. Prior to joining TT, Farley traded on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade and ran operations for an electronic trading group. He began his career with IBM.

Farley received his undergraduate degree in computer engineering from Mississippi State University.

Russ Cotton


Russ Cotton is a guardian of operational stability with an unrelenting focus on system assurance.

Russ manages the site reliability engineering and global support teams. In addition, he oversees the global operations, security and IT organizations.

Most recently serving as VP of Operations at Intercontinental Exchange, Russ was responsible for system integration and global service operations. He also provided key leadership for risk mitigation as well as regulatory and compliance management. Before ICE, he held various technical positions at Morgan Stanley and CQG.

Russ attended the University of Texas at Austin and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

Elise Fleischaker


Elise has spent her career helping technology companies drive awareness, pipeline and revenue growth through marketing.

As EVP Marketing, she leads TT’s global marketing organization, with responsibilities that include brand management, marketing communications, go-to-market strategies and demand generation. She also is the executive co-sponsor of TT’s DEI committee.

Previous to joining TT in 2003, Elise was with Ketchum/Corporate Technology Communications, Datamax Corporation and Zebra Technologies. She also served two terms on the Illinois Technology Association Board of Directors.

Elise received her undergraduate degree in public affairs and mass communications from Indiana University.

Kara Grygotis


Kara Grygotis is a customer-centric leader who understands every phase of the client lifecycle in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry.

Kara directs TT’s global Customer Success organization, ensuring seamless product on-boarding and day-to-day client services. She focuses on account management, working closely with TT’s customers and business partners worldwide.

Prior to TT, Kara spent the bulk of her career at Backstop Solutions Group, where she most recently was VP of Relationship Management. She built a team and program that helped clients grow and scale, resulting in sustained high client retention and satisfaction. She also held roles at Backstop in professional services, implementation and client services. Previously, she worked for Avery Partners in New York.

Kara received her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont.

Roger Mills


Roger Mills has a passion for detail that has driven him throughout his entire career in finance.

As Chief Financial Officer, Roger is responsible for all aspects of Trading Technologies’ financial operations and venture investments. Previously Roger served as EVP Finance and oversaw global financial reporting, planning, taxation, treasury and procurement. Prior to that, Roger served as the company’s controller.

A Certified Public Accountant, Roger has worked in financial positions with privately and publicly held companies including HealthStar and Oxford Health Plans.

Roger, who is a native of South Africa, received his MBA and undergraduate degree in International Business from the University of South Alabama in Mobile.

Bharat Mittal


Throughout his decades-long career, Bharat has immersed himself in all aspects of software engineering, from software design, development and network engineering to testing and deployment.

Today as Chief Technology Officer, Bharat drives TT’s overall technology strategy. He oversees all aspects of TT’s global engineering enterprise encompassing software engineering, quality engineering, and network and systems engineering. He previously served as EVP Engineering and Architecture.

Prior to joining TT, Bharat held software engineering roles at Siemens Healthcare, Corel Corporation and Wipro.

Bharat, who is a native of India, received his undergraduate degree in computer science from National Institute of Technology Karnataka.

Mike Ryan


Mike Ryan has critical expertise in intellectual property, software agreements and contracts while understanding the needs of the business.

As Chief Legal Officer, Mike is responsible for all legal matters affecting the corporation, including licensing, service and hosting agreements, consulting agreements, employment, property leasing and vendor contracts. In addition to his legal responsibilities, Mike manages TT’s Administration, Human Resources and Facilities departments.

Before joining TT, Mike was an attorney at Oppenheimer, Wolff and Donnelly, where he was a member of the insurance and general litigation departments.

Mike is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and DePaul University College of Law.

Guy Scott


Guy Scott is a problem-solver who honed his global sales skills over three decades.

As Trading Technologies’ EVP Global Head of Sales, Guy oversees the company’s worldwide sales organization and leads business development and commercial partnerships. Previously as Managing Director Sales Americas, he oversaw sales operations throughout the Americas, serving as the primary lead on sell-side relationships and buy-side sales.

Prior to TT, Guy worked in London and Chicago for FutureSource.

Guy earned an undergraduate degree and a post-graduate certificate from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Jason Shaffer


Jason builds product solutions with learned insight and a dedicated focus on the trader.

As head of product management, Jason leads implementation of TT’s various lines of business for the trading platform, infrastructure and data. He also spearheads the strategy for new product development, product integration and experience for client-centric solutions.

Previously, he served as Line of Business manager for execution services and also led a group within TT's in-house trading entity focused on algorithmic commodity trading.

Jason graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in computer science and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Melissa Waitz


Melissa focuses on building high performing teams and a culture of continuous improvement.

As Chief of Staff, Melissa identifies areas where change is needed to optimize our teams, workflows and tools for greater organizational effectiveness. She guides the executive team and inspires engagement in our teams to drive change on product delivery, processes and strategic issues throughout the organization.

Prior to holding various product and engineering project management positions at TT, she served as a Consulting Manager at Accenture in Financial Services and Healthcare.

Melissa has an undergraduate degree in business administration from Loyola University of Chicago.
