Configuring the Order Server

Mirroring

You can configure whether the Order Server mirrors its *fills.tbl file and set the directory to which the Order Server saves the mirrored copy.

Order Server Mirroring Parameters

Is-Mirroring

Location: AConfigCoreServerExchange-SpecificExchange-flavor

Function: Sets whether the Order Server writes a duplicate *fills.tbl file for use in case of disaster recovery. When set to create a duplicate *fills.tbl file, the Order Server writes the file to the directory configured in the Mirror-Dir parameter.

  • 0: The Order Server does not create a duplicate *fills.tbl file.
  • 1: The Order Server creates a duplicate *fills.tbl file.

Default setting: 0

Mirror-Dir

Location: AConfigCoreServerExchange-SpecificExchange-flavor

Function: Sets the path into which the Order Server writes a duplicate *fills.tbl file when it is set to do so according to the Is-Mirroring parameter. Do not include the file name.

Default setting: N/A

General Behavior Flags

You can configure:

  • Whether the exchange to which the Order Server connects sends sequential fills
  • Whether the Order Server supports multiple memberships
Order Server Behavior Parameters

Sequential-Fills

Location: AConfigCoreServerExchange-SpecificExchange-flavor

Function: Sets whether the exchange, to which the TT Gateway connects, supports sequential fills.

  • true: The exchange supports sequential fills.
  • false: The exchange does not support sequential fills.

Default setting: false

Warning

Do not change the default value of this parameter unless instructed to do so by TT support.

One-Member

Location: AConfigCoreServerExchange-SpecificExchange-flavor

Function: Sets whether the Order Server is for a single membership.

  • true: The Order Server is for a single membership only.
  • false: The Order Server supports multiple memberships.

Default setting: false

Failover Setup

These parameters configure the Order Server to function with other Order Servers in a failover group. However, these parameters are relevant only for TT Gateways set up in the TT LIFFE Connect Gateway failover architecture. They have no affect on TT Gateways of a different type or on TT LIFFE Connect Gateways that run outside of a failover group.

Function: Sets whether the TT Gateway is a TT LIFFE Connect Gateway and needs to run in as part of a failover group.

  • true: The TT Gateway is part of as failover group.
  • false: The TT Gateway is not part of as failover group.

Default setting: false

Warning

Do not use this setting on non-LIFFE Connect Gateways.

Number-Of-Routers

Location: AConfigCoreServerExchange-SpecificExchange-flavorOrder-Server

Function: Sets the number of Global Order Routers to which the Order Server must connect. You must use the same value for Number-Of-Routers on all TT Gateways in the same failover group.

Deprecated in core 7.5.0.30.

Default setting: 64

Warning: If you attempt to run more Global Order Routers in your failover group than are set in the Number-Of-Routers parameter, your Order Servers actively shuts down those additional Global Order Routers

Failover-Local-Router-Only

Location: AConfigCoreServerExchange-SpecificExchange-flavorOrder-Server

Function: Sets whether the Order Server uses only local Order Routers when assigning traders to Order Routers or if it can appropriate Order Routers on other TT Gateways that use the same exchange-flavor.

  • true: The TT Gateway uses local Order Routers only
  • false: The TT Gateway uses both local and remote Order Routers
