Changing Port and NIC Cards

By default, the Daemon:

  • Sends and receives all network communication over the primary NIC
  • Listens on TCP port number 10200

If you want to configure a machine's Daemon to use settings other than the default ones, you can configure these values using the Daemon Setup dialog box.

To change the default listening port:

  1. To open Guardian, double-click the TT icon in the System Tray.
  2. On the Config menu, click Daemon Setup.

    The Daemon Setup dialog box appears.

  3. In the Local Daemon section, highlight the contents of the Port box, and type the appropriate port number.
  4. In the Remote Proxy Daemon section, highlight the contents of the Port box, and type the appropriate port number.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close Guardian.

To change default NIC:

  1. To open Guardian, double-click the TT icon in the System Tray.
  2. On the Config menu, click Daemon Setup.

    The Daemon Setup dialog box appears.

  3. In the Local Daemon section, highlight the contents of the PGM Interface box, and type the secondary IP address.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close Guardian.
