Identifying WAN Routers

To identify a WAN Router:

  1. To open Guardian, double-click the TT icon in the System Tray.
  2. If it is not already expanded, click the + to the left of WAN Routing.
  3. Identify all WAN Routers by writing down their IP addresses.

Note: Before identifying the active WAN Router, you must first identify machines that are WAN Routers. Perform the procedure called Identifying WAN Routers.

To identify an active WAN Router you must search through the ttmdDDMMYYYY.log file on each WAN Router. By default, this file is located in <root drive>:ttlogfiles, and states whether or not the router is active:

To identify the primary WAN Router:

  1. Double click the ttmdDDMMYYYY.log located in <root drive>:ttlogfiles.

    The file opens in Notepad.

  2. Scroll to the end of the file.
  3. If the log file states that the router has become primary for a service area, it is the primary WAN Router.
