Post-Install

Updating the hostinfo.cfg File

After the install, you must edit the hostinfo.cfg file using a text editor (such as Notepad). The hostinfo.cfg file contains a number of parameters that contain default values. TT recommends leaving these parameters set to the default values.

In the [PriceServer] and each [OrderSession_#] section, configure connectivity and login information with valid values as shown in the examples:

Parameter

Description and Example

ExchangeIP

Sets the IP address of the FIX Host to which this order session connects.

ExchangePort

Sets the port number of the FIX Host to which this order session connects.

GatewayCompany

Sets Tag 49 (SenderCompId) on all FIX messages that the SFE Gateway sends to the FIX host for that connection.

GatewaySessionID

Sets Tag 50 (SenderSubId) on all FIX messages that the SFE Gateway sends to the FIX host for that connection.

SessionPassword

Sets the value of Tag 96 (RawData) in the login message of the SFE Gateway.

ttchron.ini

You must configure and uncomment the Key Server section in the ttchron.ini file. If you choose to run a Key Server on this server, remove the hash symbols (#) from the following lines (including the section header):

  • [win32-svc-ttkeyserver]
  • run_days=6
  • start_time=0:15
  • end_time=23:50
  • days_in_cycle=7

ttclean.ini

You must perform the following in the ttclean.ini file:

  • Uncomment these lines and update drive letters:

    P, 10, c:TtLogfiles, *.*

    P, 10, c:TtAuditfiles, *.*

  • Delete all other TT Gateway sections.

Trader IDs

You must add trader IDs to the TT Universal Login Server (via TTUS located on a different machine within the TT environment) or to the Windows User Authentication System (WUAS)/Active Directory.

Reboot

Reboot the server.

Start TT Services

After reboot, open the Control Panel and select Administrative Tools. Within the Administrative Tools menu, select Services.

Verify that the IP address that this TT Gateway has been licensed for appears in the Applications On section of Guardian. Start the GuardServer service and ensure GuardServer shows up under the correct SFE Gateway Exchange-Flavor.

Note

If the GuardServer shows up under the “TT GuardServers starting up” exchange, it has not found a valid license.

Start TTChron

Start the TTChron Service in order to start all necessary TT Services, (assuming you are starting the SFE Gateway during normal trading hours).

Execute Trade Test

Once the SFE Gateway is completely green in Guardian, log into an X_TRADER® machine and enter a test trade. Remember that necessary risk parameters must be set up in order to successfully place a trade.
