The rebranding and relaunching of TT’s University Program as the TT CampusConnect™ program reflects an expanded commitment to university education and recruitment

CHICAGO, May 6, 2015 – Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a leading provider of high-performance market connectivity and trading solutions for the financial community, announced today that the company’s next-generation, software-as-a-service (SaaS) trading platform called TT is now available to universities around the world through the new TT CampusConnect™ program. The launch of the TT platform means students can quickly gain access to the latest technology being used by financial professionals across the globe, preparing them for careers in capital markets.

The TT CampusConnect program, formerly known as the TT University Program, currently includes more than 65 partner schools throughout 10 countries. The rebranding of the TT University Program to TT CampusConnect reflects how TT’s relationship with partner schools has grown to include not just in-kind technology donations, but also guest lectures, curriculum development, training and recruiting.

Through the new TT platform, which became commercially available in March, the TT CampusConnect program provides faculty and students with free access to the company’s latest technology, while removing the need for on-campus software installation. Now, educators can provide students with access to TT software in minutes through web-based tools, and students can leverage the technology via any desktop computer, laptop, and Android or iOS phone.

While the TT CampusConnect program is customized to the needs of each partner school, educators often utilize the technology in the classroom to demonstrate market principles in real time and in trading labs to provide students with real-world trading experience.

“The recently released TT platform provides a stable, content-rich platform where I can build a relationship between trading strategies and actual market prices on the fly in an easy-to-use environment,” said Akin Sayrak, Ph.D., professor of finance at the Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. “Students can access the same trading platform on their workstations, making TT a very effective experience-based learning tool. I cannot wait to work with ADL. Thank you, Trading Technologies, for providing educators with an easy-to-use simulation environment.”

Current partner schools include those with some of the world’s most prestigious computer science and financial engineering programs, such as Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia Institute of Technology, The Johns Hopkins University, Tulane University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Chicago and University of Illinois.

“Since the program began nearly a decade ago, we’ve never seen a greater opportunity to bring the marketplace to the classroom,” said Leo Murphy, TT CampusConnect program manager. “To be competitive, students need access to and experience with real-world technology and the tools of the trade before they graduate. We are thrilled that the new TT platform is going to make it easier for more schools to join the TT CampusConnect program and, in turn, for more students to get the experience they need.”

DePaul University is one of many TT CampusConnect partner schools that has experienced success leveraging TT technology. “The TT platform has been a great resource for my students in the classroom,” said Lamont Black, assistant professor of finance, DePaul University. “We quickly set up students with individual accounts to participate in simulated trading of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy announcement on January 28, and it has been vital going beyond the theories and into bona fide trading scenarios.”

“I highly recommend the TT platform as a tool for experiential learning in finance and know my students will be better equipped for their careers, partially because of our partnership with TT CampusConnect,” said Black.
